Description
Consistent Multi-Gap Film Application
Brought to you by TQC Sheen, our paint testing specialist brand, the Quadruplex 4-Sided Applicators are ideal for achieving uniform film thickness across a wide range of inks, coatings, liquids, and even food samples. Built for flexibility, each applicator features four defined gap sizes and a film width of 60 mm or 80 mm.
Quadruple Precision, Dual Application Option
One side includes a guidance groove for straight applications, and a built-in reservoir helps with uniform spreading. The Dual Quadruplex variant allows two layers to be applied simultaneously—ideal when testing multiple samples in parallel.
Durable and Reliable Construction
Made from high-grade stainless steel, these applicators resist corrosion from acids and bases, and are easy to clean. Each unit includes a protective case and calibration certificate for confidence and traceability.
Quadruplex 4-Sided Film Applicator Models
| Gap sizes | 60 mm Film Width | 80 mm Film Width |

| 15/30/60/90 µm | VF2173 | VF2168 |
| 30/60/90/120 µm | VF2174 | VF2169 |
| 50/100/150/200 µm | VF2175 | VF2170 |

| Custom µm * | VF2167* | VF2172* |
* Customised 4-sided applicators
Note: The total applicator width is the film width + 2 × 20 mm.
All applicators are made from high-grade stainless steel, with an accuracy of ±2 µm.
Due to physical reasons, the maximum film thickness applied is not equal to the gap size. The deposited film thickness may vary from 40% to 80% of the gap size. Also note that the dry film thickness will be lower than wet thickness due to solvent or water evaporation.
