Repair and Calibration Services FAQ

Below is a list of Frequently Asked Questions relating to LHTS’s Repair and Calibration Services.

Calibration is a comparison of two instruments or measuring devices, one of which is a standard of known accuracy traceable to national and/ or international standards, to detect or eliminate by adjustment any discrepancy in the accuracy of the instrument being compared with the standard.

We recommend that all testing and measuring instruments shall be sent in for calibration at least annually.

Send an email to our customer service team at requesting a quote for repair and/ or calibration. Please include a list of equipment brand, model and serial number with your request.

Yes. ISO17025 requires calibration be performed on instrument that has been repaired.

The following actions are performed during the Calibration Process:

  • Visual Inspection
  • Cleaning of external parts of the instrument
  • As-Found Calibration
  • Firmware Updates (when necessary)
  • As-Left Calibration
  • Issue Calibration Certificate
No. The warranty applies only to new instruments that are purchased from us and calibrated at Lee Hung Test Services laboratory. If the loss of accuracy is deemed likely to have been caused by damage or by abuse on operation of instrument or storage environment, fees will apply to the repair and re-calibration.

Yes. We calibrate other manufacturer’s instruments, please contact our customer service at with specific requests.

We try to complete calibrations within three to five (3 – 5) working days. However, depending on workload, calibrations can take up to two (2) weeks. If you need expedited calibration, please contact our customer service at

Yes, we offer on-site calibrations. If you would like to pursue this option, please contact us at at least 5 days prior to expected date of calibration.
Yes. LHTS lab is accredited to ISO17025 by the SAC-SINGLAS.
