Casella VAPex Low Flow Air Sampling Pumps

The Casella VAPex range is designed specifically for low-flow personal sampling of vapours and gases in occupational environments. Its 20-500 mL/min flow range and outstanding back-pressure capability provide stable, uninterrupted sampling, even when used with demanding sorbent tubes and multi-tube setups.

Both models combine simple four-button operation, a clear colour display, motion sensing, constant-pressure mode and automatic restart. A high-capacity Li-ion battery delivers approximately 34 hours of operation at 200 mL/min under specified conditions, while the compact 220 g body, quiet operation and IP65 protection make the pump comfortable and practical for everyday monitoring.

The VAPex Standard provides the essential performance required for routine low-flow vapour and gas sampling. It is intrinsically safe and includes motion sensing to help confirm that the pump has been worn during the sampling period.

Its constant-pressure mode supports multi-tube sampling, while the colour-coded display, lockable keypad and top-mounted screen make operation straightforward and help protect the display during use. The Standard model is available as an individual pump or as part of a five-pump kit.

The VAPex Pro includes all the capabilities of the Standard model and adds Bluetooth connectivity and Airwave App integration. Multiple pumps can be monitored without disturbing the wearer, with remote start, stop and calibration available from a compatible mobile device.

For more advanced sampling programmes, the Pro model adds run-duration and fully programmable timers, PC download and logging of flow and motion. Sampling notes can also be added through the Airwave App for more efficient record keeping. The Pro model is available as an individual pump or as part of a five-pump kit.
