The Casella Vortex3 range is designed for static area sampling of airborne contaminants, including asbestos and other hazardous materials. Its high 5-12 L/min flow range allows the pump to collect 480 litres of air in just 40 minutes at maximum flow, helping users complete area surveys efficiently.
Both models combine impressive back-pressure capability with flow accuracy better than ±5% in compliance with ISO 13137. Four-button operation, a full-colour OLED display and highly visible status LEDs make setup straightforward, while battery or mains power provides flexibility for short or extended sampling programmes. Under the stated test conditions, battery runtime reaches up to four hours at 12 L/min or eight hours at 8 L/min.
The rugged IP65 housing has a smooth finish that is easy to clean and decontaminate. A comfortable carrying handle and unique interlocking mechanism allow multiple pumps to be connected and transported together, reducing the time and effort required when deploying instruments across a site.
The Vortex3 Standard provides the core high-flow performance required for routine asbestos sampling, area monitoring and environmental investigations. Its 5-12 L/min operating range, strong back-pressure capability and accurate flow control support reliable sampling across a wide range of filter media.
The full-colour display presents the pump’s operating information clearly, while the lockable keypad helps prevent accidental changes during a survey. Its rugged, mains-and-battery-powered design makes the Standard model a dependable choice when remote connectivity and advanced reporting are not required.
The Vortex3 Pro includes all the performance and durability of the Standard model and adds Bluetooth connectivity with Airwave App support. Users can remotely monitor pump status and sampling progress, as well as start or stop the pump from a compatible iOS or Android device.
A battery gauge and pressure indicator provide additional operating information, including visibility of filter loading. The Pro model also supports enhanced sampling records through Airwave, allowing users to add site notes and location data, review stored runs and email results for faster reporting and improved traceability.
Both models deliver the same core high-flow sampling performance. Choose the Pro model when remote operation and enhanced pump information are required.
