How It Works
The meter generates a low-frequency electric field between eight electrodes at its base. It measures electrical impedance to a depth of several centimeters, depending on the surface’s moisture level.
Eight Scales for Maximum Coverage
The device features eight different scales, making it suitable for a variety of substrates:
- Concrete 0–6% H₂O: Measures water weight vs. dry weight in concrete.
- Cement Screed 0–6% H₂O: Measures moisture content by weight.
- Cement Screed 0–4% CM: Approximate value based on the Carbide Method.
- Anhydrite Screed 0–3.5% H₂O: Measures water content by weight.
- Anhydrite Screed 0–1.9% CM: Carbide Method approximation.
- Caisson 0.3–15.3 m: Relative scale for similar use to below.
- Relative Scale 0–100%: For comparison across different materials.
- Gypsum 0–10%: For gypsum material moisture detection.
